Simple 3 ingredient recipes to save a trip to the shops
If you’ve filled your fridge and cupboards, you’re in a good place. If you’re scrambling around to find something for tea then with these recipes, you might still be in a good place! Everyone is trying to limit trips to the shops, so these recipes will go some way to stretching out what you’ve already got in.
These recipes only require three main ingredients. A point to note, store cupboard essentials such as salt, pepper and cooking oil generally aren’t counted as ingredients as the assumption is that regular home cooks would already have these in stock.
It’s always worth taking inventory of what you have in at home – especially when you realise just how much you can make with things you probably already have in.
Nutella brownies
I don’t know what kind of person has leftover Nutella, (is there such a thing as leftover Nutella?) but here’s a good way to use it up if you do.
All you need is one and a quarter cup of Nutella (or 20 tablespoons to you and me), two large eggs and 65g of flour for ooey gooey, easy peasy choccy brownies for a totally indulgent treat.
If you’re hesitant to make these because 20 tablespoons of Nutella is like, a million calories (or 541 – we checked), remember that the idea is to cut the finished brownie into squares and share. Cut this recipe into 10 squares and each brownie will be under 100 calories. Just…try not to eat 5 at once.

Cheesy pasta shells
Milk, good. Pasta, good. Cheese, goooood.
Instead of boiling pasta and then making a sauce to go on top, you boil the pasta in the milk to make a sauce, using its natural starch to create a glossy, creamy dinner. 20 minutes to perfection, find the recipe here.
Peanut Butter Cookies
If you’re a fan of American media, whether it’s cooking shows, sitcoms or films, you’re bound to have seen some form of peanut butter cookie. If, like me, you’ve ever fancied trying one, here’s your chance. It’s just three ingredients, and for 168 calories each, why not? Get the recipe here.
Tomato Sauce with Onion and Butter

Accidentally Gluten-Free Flourless Chocolate Cake
Unless you’ve got an electric mixer at home, the secret ingredient in this is going to be a load of arm strength. A small price to pay for chocolate cake. Just think of it as a workout.

I truly believe that gnocchi are little balls of carbohydrates sent from the powers above to satisfy not only my hunger but my need for wholesome, stick to your ribs food. If I’d have known it was this simple, I’d have a kitchen full already.
